Equal Rights, Equal Opportunities

Men and Women, Young and Old, Gay and Lesbian, equality is now upon us. No one is higher than the other. We are all human beings and we are all equal in rights and opportunities.

Way back then, women are belittled they are not permitted to acquire education because they believe that women will just stay at home and do household chores while men will raise his family meaning he is the bread winner in the family. But now in the present times, men and women are in the state of equilibrium. They are of equal rights and opportunities as well. Women can now work if they want. As long as they can because of the gender equality.

Another Chapter of My Life Unfolds

“When we long for life without difficulties, remind us that oaks grow strong in contrary winds and diamonds are made under pressure”. Problems are just normal for us humans. These are just exams given to test our strength to overcome these problems and let us also bear in mind that God will not give us anything that we cannot do. Along your path to success you may encounter problems but these problems make us a better person. So let us be strong, let us be brave to face the obstacles that life has to offer because we have our family and friends that we can lean on.

2nd Quarter is a bit stressful because of the requirements which were given, the lessons were quite complicated but behind these, I had friends with me that helped me in making this quarter a successful one. They are always there; they never stop guiding me on things that I am hard up at, until I am enlightened.

It is harder now because I have to meet the expectations of my teachers and my parents and at the same time grades must be maintained but even if it’s hard, I am happy and at the same time thankful to God because He had given me good health to pass my requirements on time. Behind all these pressure, I have been a better person because I have learned to sacrifice, manage my time and leave something for myself, and to have fun as well. My mistakes served as lesson for me so that next time I will know what to do.

Another chapter of my life unfolds. It’s nice to turn the pages of your life, good or bad because this will serve as an instrument to recall as the days pass by.

My Teacher, My Hero

How would life be without our teachers? It would surely be like a body without a soul or simply INCOMPLETE. Like the trees, we also need help from others in order for us to be productive. “No man is an island”, we need help because we are all humans. And in order for us to be progressive, we need the help of educated people so that we will lead to the path of success. They say, one is good but two is better. Our parents raise us to be disciplined individuals, and our teachers mold us to be progressive in any path we choose to take. They really contribute a lot in making our society more successful. They may not be perfect, they may commit mistakes but I truly believe that nobody’s perfect. These mistakes will make them a better person.

Our teachers are our heroes. They may not be superheroes but they have the heart to understand our mistakes and the mind to render advice. There would be no professionals right now if there were no teachers to guide them in the right path. Knowledge cannot be paid by money alone. We need teachers to educate us. In return, we must love them with all our heart so that they will have the strength to continue their duties as the heroes of our society.

“Those who educate children well are more to be honored than they who produce them”

-          Aristotle

Teachers must be praised for their brave deeds and acts. All their sacrifices should be paid off by our love for them. After all the challenges that life has to offer, they continue to be strong and never stop to render knowledge to the youth. So, they must be crowned as our HEROES.

The question is, do you love your teacher?

Huwebes, Oktubre 3, 2013

In this generation, there are more and more problems encountered which are much related to our nature. Pollution, degradation or depletion of natural resources, these are only few of the problems that we are facing during these times. Why is this happening? It is due to the misuse of the people living in it. Most people do not consider the possible effects of the things that we are doing.

Nature was then a beautiful place to live in, but now it has become a dirty and polluted one. It’s like a woman vanishing its beauty. Now, as a science clubber what can we do to prevent this situation? They say, the youth holds our future. Before it’s too late we should make a change and act as soon as possible. Even in our own little ways like the proper segregation of wastes. By this, we can help in decreasing the rate of nature’s degradation.

By encouraging others to join in activities which are of great help in the balance of nature, we can be sure that one day our nature will become more beautiful and progressive. And if we are hand in hand in solving these problems, it is easier to bring back nature’s bounty, the nature that was once a paradise. So, what are we waiting for? We should make a change and act as soon as possible. All we need is DISCIPLINE.

Do we really love our nature? if yes, we should show our love to her Now!! At this very moment.

Modern Day Heroes

They are one of the Modern- Day Heroes

Heroes. What could we derive from this word? One who is willing to sacrifice and need not to be known to become one? Then, if I am given a chance to award one of the heroes of our modern days I would choose the Overseas Filipino Workers (OFW). Why? They are going to other countries to seek greener pasture because if they will stay here they will surely experience hunger and famine.

Sometimes, when we say OFW, some may think that they are the ones who left their country. They chose to go to other countries despite of the job offers in the country. But if we dig deeper into it we would realize that they are just doing it to improve their economic status. I’m sure it was hard for them to decide and move away from their family but they had no choice.

It is good if their employees are nice if not, they may suffer from all forms of abuse. Considering their sacrifices, they may be called modern-day heroes. They may be different in many ways but they have the same vision and that is to make their life more productive than before.

Goodbye yesterday, Hello today

Since I entered high school, I became aware of the Modern technologies like computers and other gadgets; unlike when I was in elementary I was so ignorant. Now, I have learned to manipulate these things with the help of ICT. Surfing the internet, social networking sites and playing computer games became my hobby. I also realized its importance. I can cope up with tasks with regards to computer works.

This first grading I really feel proud. Why? Because I know I had done my best but I cannot say that it is enough. Yes I am participating well when it comes to written tasks but when it comes to recitation I just don’t know. Sometimes, but not always.
July. We all know that this is the month of nutrition. So, we participated in almost all activities. It required patience and hard work. Even if we are not yet finished with our requirements we have to attend every practice. Our hard works were not wasted we are able to make it. We won 2nd place for the Nutri-Jingle Finals. I am also very thankful that I had passed all my requirements on time.

I may encounter problems along the way but I was able to solve this with the help of my friends, who had helped me in the obstacles that I had encountered.

Overall, this grading was good. I was able to do my commitments well. I promise this 2nd quarter that I will do well and continue to be responsible in every task that will be given. “When you come to another bridge in your life to cross, move on. Looking back, it's just a chapter in the past, but don't close the book. Just turn the pages”. We must move on but we must not forget these pages of our life because it serves as an instrument or remembrance of the past.

PNOY's 4th SONA

SONA or State of the Nation Address is a speech delivered by the president of the country every 4th Monday of July. This SONA is all about the part of the president in the development of the country and what he could do to improve these. It is an annual report about his accomplishments.

July 22, 2013. The day of the 4th SONA of President Benigno Simeon Aquino III. His speech lasted for almost 1 hour and 40 minutes. He tackled about graft and corruption. Of course, if an official is in a position in the government, he/she cannot avoid corruption but it is not for all. Our President is now more frank; he named the institutions which are not performing well.

Is our country more productive now? Are there differences? It’s been 3 years when our president sat on his position. Many told that that our economy is improving but some cannot accept this because their present status is not yet developing. The president also mentioned the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program. There are many questions raised if this program is really effective. Is it really good to give cash grants to less fortunate families?

This is the longest SONA for his last 3 SONA’s. Does this mean that he had done a lot? There are many projects mentioned like the K-12 curriculum and many others.

The question is why are there rallyists?  Does this mean that the President's performance is not yet enough?

So, we should take in these kinds of food so that we will be strong doing easily get tired in our daily tasks.

Gutom at Malnutrisyon, Sama-sama nating wakasan. If we are hand in hand in ending malnutrition and starvation, we can easily resolve this problem. Malnutrition, this is suffered by a person who do not eat the right kind of food. Instead of eating fruits and vegetables, we are fond of eating junk foods and other unhealthy foods. What can we get in consequence? We feel weak and tired. While if we eat fruits and vegetables, we are feeling alert, jolly, and happy in everything that we do.

During these times, we get attracted to junk foods because these are presentable. I know that everyone knows that junk foods are bad but we still eat them. How can we find a solution to this problem? Simple. We should take into consideration that we must eat healthy foods so that we will be strong and lively and so that diseases will not easily come with us.

So what are we doing now? Let us join forces in order to stop or end malnutrition.

Mr. President,

First of all I would like to greet you a good day sir. It is my honor and privilege to write a letter to the leader of my own country. I am very proud to be a Filipino because of the beautiful places that we have in our country and not only that we have also animals, plants and other natural resources which other countries don't have. Honestly, I myself sometimes do not obey rules and regulations but sometimes I can also lead my fellow students with regards to cleanliness of the surroundings.

Sir, with regards to this situation, I am just thinking if the government is strict in problems like this. In other countries like Singapore. They are very clean because they are strict with regards to cleanliness. Maybe if we are also like this, maybe we are cleaner and the surroundings is more beautiful to the eye of the people. Sir, I know that being a President is a hard work but maybe you can find time for this issue. I also know that you have thought of this but it is really hard because we Filipinos sometimes don't mind about these things.

I know and I have witnessed some of your contributions to our country like the 4P's or the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program. This really helps a lot to less fortunate families. I salute you for that sir. I know that this is not only your contribution but I will not mention it all because it will take me a long time to finish this letter.

Thank You Sir and May God bless you always so that you may continue your duty as the President of the Republic of the Philippines.
